Leading family-owned businesses partner to offer two new product lines of semi-aromatic nylon resins.
Northbrook, IL, April 4, 2018 – M. Holland Company, a leading distributor of thermoplastic resins, announced today that Teknor Apex Company, a leading custom compounder, named M. Holland as its primary national distributor of two product lines of semi-aromatic nylon resins, Creamid™ and Duramid™. The launch of these products expands on the companies’ existing relationship and follows last year’s announcement in which Teknor Apex named M. Holland its primary distributor for engineered thermoplastics products in North America.
Creamid and Duramid are semi-aromatic, highly-filled polyamides, characterized by enhanced surface aesthetics, low warpage, excellent flow, and dimensional stability. They are often referred to as metal-replacement polyamides and offer an E-modulus of up to 22,000 and 25,000 MPa, respectively. Duramid offers additional high-performance features because of its superior flow, low warpage, and increased notched impact strength. Both products can be used for power tools, agriculture, furniture, electronics, military, and transportation applications.
